Online course on digital tolerance

I am convinced that this course is an important step in teaching a high culture of online etiquette for students and helping them to use the Internet comfortably and effectively. We all know how important it is to be alert and keep up with our things. The same principles work online, but instead of personal things, we need to keep our personal information and access to our online accounts. Things that are valuable to our students (e.g., access to email accounts or social networks) may interest swindlers so we need to protect them with secure passwords, reliable sites and confidentiality of personal information. As we are looking for information on the Internet on different topics, in all cases, it's important to use critical thinking to choose information that is useful and reliable. Students always have to check the reliability of the site and not distribute their personal information. While finding some information students should check the rightness of the site comparin

Tips for teachers

Can Teachers Be Friends With Students? Can we be friends with our students? Where do we create barriers? How about social-media wise? I'm interested to hear about your experience, lessons learned, regrets, what you would offer as advice for new teachers. It's an important question with two key components. One relates to the question of how teachers and students view their relationships with each other on a broader level, and the other more narrowly in the  social media realm . In fact, it's so important -- and it has so many nuances -- that I'll be devoting three separate posts responding to Brad's question. The bulk of this post will be a guest response from well known author-educator  Rick Wormeli . On Friday, instead of posting the usual new "question of the week, teacher/author/blogger  Jose Luis Vilson  will share his guest response, I'll be sharing some of my own thoughts, and reader comments on the question will also be featured.

METHODOLOGICAL SUPPORT FROM BLOGGERS

Initially, blogging involved a personal web log, in which a person would journal about their day. From "web log" came the term "blog." Like most new innovations on the Internet, many entrepreneurs saw marketing potential in having a blog, and blogging took off from there. Not only can a  blog be used for marketing , but also, a blog can be a home business in and of itself. Here are some ways to support the bloggers you love, both emotionally and financially: 1.  Leave a comment . The whole point of blogging (at least how I see it) is to create community. When you leave a comment on a blog post, that is your way of saying, “I’m here! I am a part of this!” It makes the writer feel warm and fuzzy on the inside. You don’t need to leave a comment on every post—just once in a while when something resonates with you. Some of my favorite posts that I have ever written have a string of comments below them that all say some rendition of “Me too! I fee
