Analysis of the article 

 The question of giving homework to students is a very controversial one. Some teachers, parents and students think that is obligatory to give some home assighnments for pupils to develop their skills and to improve them at home. But others disagree and say that is is unnecessary .

So, there are eventually benefits and some disadvantages of giving homework to students.

The first reason that students need it is that students and teacher can work closely together in such a way. And, of course, children become closer to their parents and together they see the problems in studying. Parents get better understanding of children’s needs. Doing homework helps students to prepare for big tests and develops their responsibility.

But there is also harm for students because of it. Students don’t have enough time to relax after classes and they will ask parents to help them that can cause problems and quarrels in family. When students don’t have enough time they start to cheat and it leads them to having low knowledge of the subject and not effective learning.

To sum it up, the teacher should find the agreement with students about their homework. That’s why it can improve students’ learning and their motivation to studying.
